Spain should be down to 10 men. Very late two footed tackle on a linesmen. Completely unacceptable.

Belgium are the equivalent to England's 2004/2006 teams, so much talent but just can't quite do it in a tournament match against a top international side.

The 'top international side' being labelled as the worst Italian team in years lol. Fair play to Italy though, they took their chances better than Belgium did and defended really well all game.

2nd place finishers in England/Wales group face 2nd place in Group F in the next round. So that would be either Austria, Hungary or Iceland as Portugal likely to win it. I'd be happy with that.

Hungary have just beaten Austria 2-0. I'd say that was a shock as on paper Austria's team look better than Hungary with the likes of Fuchs, Alaba, Arnautovic, Junuzovic and Janko in the team.

Also Gabor Kiraly is now the oldest player to appear at the European Championships at age 40. He played in the Premier League for Crystal Palace just over 11 years ago...

No flag for ukraine very racist IMO not the kind of family friendly content we should be promoting on this site.

No country 'get's' a flag, every country HAS a flag and should be represented equally. This is football, NOT a closed affair let's no pay attention to the jonny foreigners game.

It's not like some bearded fellow from the sky recognizes you are a member of the UK and gives you a flag for having a queen and everyone else get's jealous and makes their own paper flags while we sit their with our fine linen masterpiece watching the sun never set.

Hot damn, I hope England don't do something like this every injury time as there'll be heart attacks up and down the country. Hopefully that's the last of Sterling for the tournament - until he improves on anything apart from running he shouldn't be near the team. Thought Rooney was our best player today, he's performing very well in midfield.

Happy with the win today, really surprised with Hodgson's subs. Never thought he would put 3 strikers on, and yeah Sterling should never play again for England.

His passing was great (plus in a general forwards direction!) and he made a couple of driving runs too, so couldn't really fault him too much. Also, seeing him taking set pieces rather than Harry Kane was pleasing too and it helped that the delivery was decent too.

England deserved the win and I think will go into the next game on a high and have a conferable win over Slovakia, Wales will go out fighting against Russia and also get the win, so the perfect scenario of them both going through, Northern Ireland did really well but I was banking on a German win over Poland so that Poland would not pick up the point they got, sadly Northern Ireland play Germany next so I don't hold out much hope but you never know!

I'd argue Rooney is better in that position than Gerrard ever was because (shocker) he's a better player!

Disliking Rooney is a meme. Wake up please, opinions like this are why 70% of football fans haven't got scooby.

Shameful behaviour from the Croatia fans yesterday...

Also Spain and Italy are already looking quite ominous imo. Would not rule out Spain retaining their Euros title, even if perhaps their style of play is something that more people are familiar with dealing with. That said, we haven't seen everyone play twice yet, but who would people say looks like the best team in the tournament so far?

Italy.. not for me, seem good because of the score, but there is nothing up front to hurt bigger teams.

There is no standout team yet. All attention is on Italy, Spain and France because they've all got 2 wins each, but Spain and Italy looks far from being able to win it. Spain's striker situation is a bit of a mess and I don't see Morata and Nolito scoring every game. Especially not against better sides than Turkey. Maybe you could look at France and say they found a way through in both games, but they shouldn't be putting themselves in the position where they have to.
