The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Getting annoyed at how often I check the other thread and find every new post is about something like a fan video, so here's a thread purely about the NX/Wii U game, The Legend of Zelda: Tome of the Sheikah.

Re: Zelda: Tome of the Sheikah
Why have you made up a subtitle we all know it is just going to be called "The Legend of Zelda"

Re: Zelda: Tome of the Sheikah
Tome of the Sheikah would actually make for a good title, considering the book Link has and the new Sheikah symbol shown on the E3 press site it seems to be pointing towards the game having a lot to do with the Sheikah. Hopefully Reggie will announce/introduce the game with its full title when the first treehouse segment starts at E3.

Re: Zelda: Tome of the Sheikah
It really wouldn't. Zelda games' titles rarely use proper nouns that belong to the Zelda universe because they are alienating and Nintendo don't seem to care that much about the series's lore that they'd name this one after the Sheikah tribe. Also "Tome of the Sheikah" sounds dumb and nerdy.Robbo-92 wrote:Tome of the Sheikah would actually make for a good title, considering the book Link has and the new Sheikah symbol shown on the E3 press site it seems to be pointing towards the game having a lot to do with the Sheikah. Re: Zelda: Tome of the Sheikah
It kind of depends where it'll actually fit in the Zelda timeline, if it's the game directly after Skyward Sword it could always be something along the lines of 'The Legend of Zelda: The Forgotten Land of Hyrule'.

Tome of Sheikah would make sense based on what we presumably know so far. But it sounds a bit weightless. Needs something that stands out more. Something that hits you in the face.

Zelda Wii U/NX thread + Nintendo E3 thread
Added an other option to the poll and let you all revote and updated the title to be more accurate. Go nuts.
Anyway, Nintendo is literally going to be streaming nothing but Zelda for most of E3, and that's weird. I'm wondering how dense this demo is going to be, and I'm also pretty damn curious about how the hell they're going to pad the time out with it. Hell, we'll probably get a title leak a few hours before the showfloor opens.
Nintendo.

Re: Zelda Wii U/NX thread + Nintendo E3 thread
I actually hope the demo is only a few hours worth of gameplay, I've been looking forward to this game (as I dare say we all have) since it was announced in 2014, I'd hate for more major stuff to be ruined because it's the only game Nintendo are taking to E3 this year. This way it also has the benefit of fans only having a few hours of gameplay to watch, unlike other years where there has been hours worth of stuff to catch up on (a bad or good thing depending on how much time you have to watch the treehouse I suppose).

Re: Zelda Wii U/NX thread + Nintendo E3 thread
The way I look at it, the Zelda team must be incredibly confident with what they have so they decided to dedicate an entire E3 for it. I feel like whatever we see, it's still only going to be a fraction of the game.
We're all naming this item after a tome or book. But is it even confirmed to be that yet? HMK speculated it might be a stone slab of sorts. Something that is giving Link the special power we see. Which I like the idea of a lot more. Also I'm going to go out on a limb and say the title of this game won't be named after this item but rather whatever the bigger picture is.shy guy 64 wrote:book of shadows? book of truth?

I half expect them just to spend the whole direct in silence travelling across the map just to show how big it is.

Re: Zelda Wii U/NX thread + Nintendo E3 thread
We all know they could of easily shown off the NX but chose to skip the event. I'm aware of the lack of content they may or may not have outside of that. They could have skipped the event all together. Dedicating an event to Zelda tells me how confident they are that this is all they need. Even renting out one of the bigger areas of the venue so they can convert it into one huge experience.

Re: Zelda Wii U/NX thread + Nintendo E3 thread
If E3 being dedicated to Zelda Wii U tells me one thing, it's that Zelda Wii U is ready to be shipped and they are simply waiting on the NX version to be finished porting. I agree that it's a show of confidence in the product that they will have a lot of hours of content and they won't want to be showing lots of glitches in those hours of gameplay.
