After the last World Cup I'm fully expecting Germany to win it.

I don't know really, they'll probably step it up for Euro.

Really hoping for a better showing from England than we were 'treated to' at the World Cup.

You can't look much beyond Germany, though - they'll get it together for the tournament.

You think so? Not sure the Germans have what it takes, a good defensive line but they've lost Klose, Schweinsteiger, Lahm and Mertesacker since 2014. The youth don't seem to be stepping up quite yet, players like Gundogan, Draxler, Reus and Gotze have really stalled in their progression as well.
In terms of personnel I would say France are pretty terrifying right now, and given home advantage they could easily win it. having said that they are underperforming terribly and won't have had much preparation what with not having to play any competitive fixtures for 2 whole years.
If the likes of Sterling, Wilshere, the Ox, Shaw, Stones, Berahino, Kane etc. all have amazing seasons this year I wouldn't rule England out. We've actually got a pretty solid starting XI, it's the lack of depth that's worrying. oh and our manager.

Embarassing from England. This is what happens when you have a squad full of players who have barely played any top-flight football. Southgate has to take some of the blame for the lack of organization and gameplan for sure, but i honestly don't see any way out of this mire for England until the PL loses some power.

Does the PL even have as much power as you are suggesting. Just look at the clubs performences in the Europa and Champions Leagues.

He means the power of the Premier League itself vs the power of the FA. Not the teams.

Oh yeah, I understand now. On that, I believe its up to the player to deciede whether his priorities are with club or country.

More often than not, it's with his wallet. i.e. any idiot who signs for Man City under 21.

Final Result:
USA 5 - 2 Japan
Absolutely fantastic game, with USA going 4-0 up in 16 minutes. Don't regret staying up for that at all, congratulations USA. The Men's game could learn A LOT from this tournament...

So the pots have been announced for Euro 2016, with England having a 50% chance of getting a home nation. Italy in pot 2 is also who everyone else will want to avoid

Will England even get out of their group though?
