If you think the border is going to be a problem, try figuring out how those born in NI will be outside the EU but dual citizens entitled to Irish/EU Passports and overseen by the European Court Justice. The border is simple by comparison. It's just a no. It's been tried, it's 300 miles of bandit country that the full weight of the British Army couldn't police even after blowing up the majority of crossings. It wasn't drawn to be policable, they just drew a line around where they had a voting majority at the time.

Maybe we should have done this with all the places that voted for Brexitbarrybarryk wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 8:46 pmIt wasn't drawn to be policable, they just drew a line around where they had a voting majority at the time.

Both main parties are in such a state right now. How anyone can still fully support either is beyond me

I think South Park had the right idea, that in politics, you have to choose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich.

You support one over the other because you don't want to risk the other getting in.

Yeah, but I'm right about most things, so it's bound to happen that occasionally you are as well

Re: Politics General
Labour's become a joke, the party has been taken over by a bunch of loonies who are not fit to govern.

True, I really do wish I didn't vote Labour at the last election. They've completely run away from reality.
Yup, though really people (including myself) should've seen this coming before they wasted their vote in June. The most recent ridiculous thing Labour's done is the "BAME discount", or in other words, charging white people more than other races to access the conference with the only difference being their race. The Equality & Human Rights Commission has written to them, and I'm preeeetty sure it breaks UK law. Glad to see they've scrapped it but it's a joke it even happened in the first place.

Re: Politics General
I remember starting a discussion of the DUP in this thread once. This was before they were propping up the Tory government so no one in England knew anything about them. Good times.
